Thank you for downloading the CAF 5000 Series train from Oren's Transit Page's WMATA Routes for BVE section!

This train package includes a full, updated panel that depicts the actual console of the train. The door chime files are courtesy of Ben Schumin (http://transit.schuminweb.com) and have been modified with his permission. You are more than welcome to comment on the new train by e-mailing oren@orenstransitpage.com.

Installation:

The train files are now included in the self-extracting file that contains all other files you need to run the WMATA Route for BVE. This self-extracting file also contains formats of the .rw files for all available car types (at the time of download as of July 2005).

In the event that you need to change the train type for the WMATA route, open the WMATARedATS.rw file in Wordpad. This file should be in your "Railway" folder; alternatively, you may find it by using the Search function in Windows.

When the file is open, look for a line towards the start that reads "File=WMATA". Add a semicolon (;) before the word file so that it looks like this: ;File=WMATA. Then, on the line above where it says ";Velocity=25" (insert a hard return if necessary), type "File=WMATA5000". Save the rw file and then start BVE. The CAF WMATA train should be in use.

Enjoy your new BVE train. Thanks again to Ben Schumin (http://transit.schuminweb.com) for his contributions.
